Cross Over Point

#1 Postby skysummit » Wed May 18, 2005 12:02 pm

With everything that happened last year with storms avoiding Jamaica, I can see Adrian cross over at the point of least land...right along the Guatemala/Honduras/El Salvador border just south of Belize. There's still a lot of land there (about 200 miles or so I believe), but it would be the area of "least resistance".

Wow! That map is fantastic. That should tear this storm up real good.

7,000-8,000 foot mountains with many valleys, thus the potential exists for mudslides and flash flooding.

It has to cross over just perfect for the least amount of land. It is trying to set up that.

Hmmm...I wouldn't know where to find one. I found that one off of a Belize website.

Oh well thanks anyway.. 8-)

Looks like the storm will traverse lots of land as that scenario I decribed above cant happen unless Adrian moves directly east.

The main problem with that area is going to be mudslides if Adrian is as much a rain producer when she hits land. I am hoping the mountains rip her apart..........

Regardless the villages in that area are going to take a beating. Massive mudslides and flooding. They still haven't recovered from Mitch in 1998.
