Does Adrian kill Arlene?

#1 Postby cybercyclone » Wed May 18, 2005 5:55 pm

As already discussed, If Adrian crosses over and becomes TS Adrian for the Atlantic basin, will that count as our "A" storm. Or would we go from Adrian to Arlene then "B"?

If Adrian survives and is still Adrian in the Atlantic, Arlene would be the next storm after that. Since technically Adrian isn't an Atlantic storm, it wouldn't count.

On the Fox Report, in the last half hour, Shepherd Smith said that the name will change from Adrian to Arlene. Meteorologist Rick Reichmuth didn't correct him.

It only changes IF Adrian completely falls apart over Central America and THEN re-develops.

The stupidity in FOX NEWS is incomparable, so for me there is no surprise that people that supposedly are paid to inform the people are just doing the opposite. I think everyone should see a movie called "OUTFOXED," and you will find how good are they misinforming.

It doesn't matter what network this occurred on. The same thing could have or may have easily happened in
the past with an anchor on CNN and MSNBC introducing the meteorologist for a report on a tropical system.

It has nothing to do with right or wrong. A meteorologist knowing how these systems are named could have corrected what Shep said. It wasn't wrong of Rick not going into depth, he only had so much time to give his report.
