Isn't 1008 millibars what you would expect to see in a Tropical Depression? For the last week or so, I've been noticing these low pressure readings for Barbados.

I remember reading on an FA discussion from San Juan like 2 days ago that pressure was 1008 at the airport that night. Pressure does go down during night hours in th tropics but 1008 is pretty low. Its like that in the Pacific though, but not in the Atlantic. I also think I read in either the NOAA year forecast or the Dr Gray forecast, that one of the factors for a high season was the below normal pressures in the Atlantic this year.
