Anyone want to bet how many times this year someone will post "watch the trends over time not the wobbles"? :-)

I think we need the "watch the trends over time, not the wobbles" in a readily accessible spot with the Emoticons cuz I know this phrase will be used again and again and again. :D

Still looks pretty steady NE to me. Headed towards the western end of El Salvador.

Symmetry is getting better - still think it has a good chance to make Cat 1 before landfall - probably real close already.

Not exactly. First, it will lanfall in Cuba, and then Santo Domingo as a CAT 5. Then, it will make a 90 degree left turn, hit Palm Beach County (specifically Boca Raton), and hug the coast of the Eastern U.S as a Cat 3-4, making landfalls and ping ponging in the following places: Fort Pierce, Datyona Beach , Savannah, Charleston, and finally Cape Hatteras.

NOTE--this is an independent project, and obviously has nothing whatsoever to do with the NHC. Please consult your shrink for the veracity of this one!

And it'll do it while wearing a pink tutu, too.

The good thing is Recon will be in there this afternoon and we'll have a reliable fix.

Amen to that Jan!

Glad we have recon data now.
