Wasn't the epicenter on th elast one almost 50 miles deep and about 95 miles West of GC?

My immediate supervisors in laws live close to GC.

Not yet. All she gets is a busy signal. She will keep trying. He flies out tonight, if he can. The Airport there is really small and I believe only one strip that flies over metal jerry rigged houses..

Okay, ny wife tried again and said "DUE TO NETWORK DIFFICULTIES THE CALL CANNOT BE DIALED" what the heck does that mean?

It means everyone in the world with relatives there is trying to call, so the network is overloaded.

They have active volcanos in Guatemala also. What kind of effect could the Earthquakes have on the volcanos? Any seismologist opinions on that?

This second quake was quite deep and an awfully long way from Guatemala city.


Quakes of this nature are fairly routine around Central America; people are just noticing them now because of Adrian. I'm sure they've had no practical effect on anything.
