Hi All,

I am wondering if some people could point me to some good textbooks on hurricanes/tropical weather systems?

I have taken meterology101 but have no intentions of going back to school. Just want to educate myself.

Thanks,
Joe

Welcome to the party slowjoe!

I can't point you to any books off of the top of my head, however,
storm2k is a great place to ask questions and learn about tropical systems.

I recommend Dr. Bob Sheets' book "Hurricane Watch". Bob Sheets was the former director of the National Hurricane Center.

iceangel...
1) I asked for 'recommendations'
2) the search results in google are totally irrelevant
3) it is easier to hit the browser's back button than post a Smart Alec response
