This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I would guess a minor TS around June 18th, with the first real one forming July 28th.

Probably last week of June. Just hope Arlene does not form anywheres in the Gulf. Because the last week of June is my birthday. (June 25th) Audrey formed on June 25th. Luckily, many, many years before I was born. My friend got stuck with Tropical Storm Bill on her birthday 2 years ago. And hers in only 5 days after mine. (June 30th)

It's hard to find anywhere in the Atlantic right nowwhere the shear is not going to rip apart anything that tries to develop...but in one month from now things should be different. I will say Arlene will form in June down in the NW or southern Caribbean...it will get picked up by these strong troughs that keep digging way south and be a minimal TS that hits somehwere in the GOM or Florida.

Usually in May or June conditions simply aren't favorable. July should see the shear decrease drastically.

It seems that lately, that the First few tropical threats are in the western Carribean, the BOC or Southern Gulf Of Mexico and threaten somewhere in the vicinity of Browsnsville, Texas! So I'll take a guess and say early to mid june!

This is all that needs to be said. The unnamed subtropical storm. Say what you went.

I think the Atlantic south of 20N & between 40 & 60W is primed for some earlyish development.

I'd say late June - early July.
