At the beach again today...water temps around 80...sunny skies all across the Atlantic waters off of FL...we will see some real warming over the next month...should be in the mid 80s soon in South Florida from W. Palm Beach south through the Keys.

I am on the Louisiana Gulf Coast. We reached a high of 93 degrees today. Temps are supposed to be in the lower 90's most of this week. Low temps in the 70's. Maybe this week the water will finally be warm enough for me to go swimming! Tried last week and the water in the pool still felt like ice to me.

We're about 40 miles northwest of you as the crow flies, and hit 96.2 on the home outdoor thermometer (nestled in the shade and 6 feet off the ground) around 3:00 this afternoon.

Say hello to summer!

Wow! And it is still only May! We may be in for a very hot humid summer. Cajunmama said it got up to a 100 in Lafayette yesterday, I believe.

I wouldn't doubt it - it's downright hot down here right now!

"only" 87 today, but the heat index was 99.3
