The Caribbean is warm, a warm tongue is reaching up to the LA Coast. I see a lot of 27C out there giving just another hint that the season is right around the corner.

Yes SSTs on the east coast of Florida are finally rising at a good rate now. 81 off Ft. Pierce and 78 at Cocoa. Won't be long now. Check out the "French" bouys in the eastern Caribbean.......85+ !!

I am concerened that come September/October that warm tounge in the Gulf may become an eddy, waiting for that one Opal to cross it.

I'm more worried about the overal temps - the oceanic heat is
building early.
