Northern Gulf Coast air temps
I know the Louisiana contingent is reporting 90's, and we're heating up
a lot today as well - 92.1 with 102.9 heat index.
Those SST's are gonna rise fast at this rate.

Looks like we're the cool spot this afternoon at 93.2 degrees / with a "feels like" of 98.
The afternoon is young...I think we'll go above 94 before it starts to drop. Our low at the house last night was 77. Hard to believe we were in the forties at night just a little over two weeks ago.

Andrew '92, Katrina '05, Gustav '08, Isaac '12, Ida '21...and countless other lesser landfalling storms whose names have been eclipsed by "The Big Ones".

Great, I'm going to be stomping around in the Quarter tomorrow with the parental units, cursing them for not coming down in say, April, when a person is able to step outside without getting an instant sweatbath.

Why can't we get in on this heat? So far its been about average to slightly below average, 84-86ish. Quite pleasant out. I really want it to get HOT out so it'll feel more like summer. That hasn't happened yet this year. Im waiting for those mid-90's(wouldnt mind upper 90's like we had in 98).
