DHWeather's post made me think of an idea I have had for many years. To incorporate HURRICANES into my favorite song, Billy Joel's We Didn't Start the Fire.
I could have done better, but I put this together in about 10 minutes...
Galveston, Labor Day, New England, Easy came, Carol, Edna, Connie, Diane and Audrey
Donna, Carla, Cleo, Dora, Betsy, Inez, and a Beulah, and 69' brought Camille right through the door-a.
CHORUS:
Hurricanes are blowin'
From the Earth's rotation,
they hit our nation.
Hurricanes are blowin'
nothing can stop them,
nothing can top them.
Celia, Agnes, Carmen, Eloise,
Anita, Greta, David and Frederic.
Allen, Alicia, Elena and Gloria,
Gilbert, Joan and Hugo came in,
THEY'RE SO MANY TO KEEP NAMING!
CHORUS:
Hurricanes are blowin'
From the Earth's rotation,
they hit our nation.
Hurricanes are blowin'
nothin' can stop them,
nothin' can top them.
Diana, Bob, Andrew
Add Luis and Marilyn too
Opal, Roxanne, Hortense, Fran
They were all hurricanes
Georges, Mitch, Floyd and Lenny,
Keith, Iris, Michelle, and plenty.
Isidore, Isabel, Florida is under hell,
from Charley, Frances, Ivan, Jeanne
WHAT IS THIS SUPPOSED TO MEAN?
CHORUS:
Hurricanes are blowin'
From the Earth's rotation,
they hit our nation.
Hurricanes are blowin'
nothin' can stop them,
nothin' can top them.
