Thanks Mike for the additions that I recommended.I want especially the bouys because apart from the ones already around Puerto Rico and east of Guadeloupe 2 more will be added soon east of Barbados and will be important when things get hot in that area.

Of course, I forgot to pass along to our members rejoining us from the winter hiatus, the Worldwide Tropical Update Website as plenty to offer.

On the main page, links to official advisories (including other RSMCs such as Tokyo, Nadi, etc) plus the JTWC as well as storm floaters over each active storm.

Beyond the main page, (you can find these links on the upper-right corner of every page) are basin-specific pages for every basin around the world. Each page, had official RSMC tracks from the World Met Organization, plus shear maps, SSTs graphics (coming soon...) satellite, and much more.

Plus, a comprehensive list of every storm in the 2005 (2004-2005 for the Southern Hemisphere) season is listed in the storm summary. Included are tracking maps for each storm, including those that were warned against by the official met bureaus, but not the JTWC.

In need of the next name to be used in a given storm basin? Check out the names page. Grayed names indicate used names from previous years, red-colored names indicate names used this year.

Of course, the new page to the group: Atlantic Recon. This page displays the lastest recon obs, plan of the day, vortex message, and more all on one page. ...and how many times during the heat of a recon mission have you pounded on that refresh key?? No problem here. This page automatically refreshes so the latest information is present!

Here's a feature brought online a few months ago: alert pages. These links will become active when a storm approaches land. These storm-specific pages includes storm tracks, webcams, observations, radar, and so much more.

Of course more and more features will be added to insure you can fulfill your Storm2k addiction while you track the world's most powerful storms.

A'ight... several new features have been added!

1) Atlantic buoy page added. Tons of buoys from the Caribbean, through the Gulf, and up the East Coast are now just a few clicks away. (for quick access to that page: http://tropicalupdates.nhcwx.com/buoy.htm)

2) Atlantic basin visible, infrared, and water vapor imagery added. (http://tropicalupdates.nhcwx.com/atl.htm)

3) Atlantic Saharian Air Layer imagery added. (http://tropicalupdates.nhcwx.com/atl.htm)

4) Links to model data, both global and storm specific, added. (http://tropicalupdates.nhcwx.com/atl.htm)

5) On the main page, as well as on every basin's page, sea surface temperature and anomaly graphics were added.

6) On the main page, Quikscat data was added.


And... since 91W continues to strength and a TCFA has been issued, links for data on the invest are now available on the main page.

For those you have not seen it yet, I've also made it to where anytime you're on a regional page (ie. Atlantic, EPAC, etc.) or on the main page, if you click on the active storms track toward the top of the page, it will direct you to that page's section on the World Meteorological Organization's website. From there you can grab the latest official guidance. Also, the tracks that are visible are ran from those official advisories from the world met centers.

And for those you haven't seen it yet, the page is now running with data for Tropical Storm 04W in the Western Pacific.
