Your 'American Idol' Finale Preview
It has been a long, tough competition, but the end is in sight. Tonight is the last time the "American Idol" hopefuls perform for the viewers to vote. Which of the Final 2 will join the ranks of KELLY CLARKSON, RUBEN STUDDARD and FANTASIA BARRINO as the fourth "American Idol"? CARRIE UNDERWOOD or BO BICE? America will decide!
Each of the two finalists will sing three songs: one is the single that the crowned "Idol" will record, the second is the song that has been chosen for the flipside and the third is their choice. Bo selected "Vehicle," and for Carrie, it's "Independence Day."
"They will obviously both be having a crack at the single, which will help people make up their minds," says Executive Producer KEN WARWICK. "The song is called 'Inside Your Heaven.' That's new. For the B-side, Carrie will be singing something called 'Angels Brought Me Here' and Bo will be singing, 'Long, Long Road.'"
The two songs for the single were written and provided by writers signed by 19 Management.
Then on the two-hour finale on Wednesday, when the new "American Idol" is crowned, there will be a super medley, where each of the Final 12 has a chance to sing with their idols.
"Carrie will be singing with RASCAL FLATTS, Bo will be singing with LYNRD SKYNRD and we've got KENNY G and GEORGE BENSON," Ken adds.
FOX's No. 1 TV show will also be taking a gibe at all the media madness that has surrounded the show this season with its own exposé.
"Dirty journalism doesn't go down well with us, and there has been a bit of that this series, so we are going to have a little dig at that," Ken shares.
For all your "Idol" chatter, tune in to tonight's ET

YES! Finally! I have a feeling this will be powerful coming from Carrie. Like I said before:

..."Independence Day" ought to be GOOD!

I must be tone deaf. If what Carrie just sang was on key, then I can't hear right tonight.
If she'd sang like that at the auditions, I would have said, "Girl...go home."
Ugh...I think she just lost any chance. Unless Bo does something wrong in the next two and she pulls of something incredible. And Randy just said they're even????? *scratching head*
Now I know I'm losing my hearing -- Paula and Simon liked it better than Bo also?

Mr. Simon says it's 1-1 now hmm lol..
I must admit.. There is 1 thing I kinda don't like about Carrie.. she normally just stands in place.. and when she does try to jive around on the stage.. she looks uncoordinated.. lol
Go ahead and boo me if ya want.. But that's my opinion..
Great finale so far..
