Well, one thing's for sure -- unless we get another dedicated spoiler-provider, we're not going to know a lot ahead of time like we did before.
http://www.getdesperate.com/news/220505_02.shtml
http://www.getdesperate.com/news/220505_02.shtml
A frequent internet spoiler provider said yesterday that he was fired from his job after revealing the name of the character who will die in tonight's season finale, "One Wonderful Day."
"I was fired today for violating my company's confidentiality agreement," a poster using the nickname 'Trainman' wrote on the Television Without Pity message boards. Trainman had previously said he worked for the company that provides closed-captioning for Desperate Housewives, and had been providing spoilers for DH episodes ahead of their airdates for much of the past season.
On Wednesday, Trainman had written that in the finale, Rex van de Kamp will have "a run-in with the elevated potassium levels in his blood, and I'm sorry, but unless they're going to re-edit the show at the very last minute [...] I think you can tell where I'm going with this." Trainman later added that Rex's death will occur in the middle of the episode.
The death of Rex was also mentioned in today's edition of the New York Post. "Sources tell us that Bree's husband, Rex, will finally die of a heart attack," gossip reporter Richard Johnson wrote in his daily Page Six column. "[It is] caused because George the pharmacist, who is in love with Bree switched pills on him." Johnson added that Carlos Solis will get himself into trouble at his trial, after John Rowland tells him he's been sleeping with Gabrielle, and Carlos goes crazy in front of the judge.
Other spoilers provided by Television Without Pity's Trainman included the news that the finale will feature a flashback in which Deirde encounters Angela/Mary Alice. "I think we all know how that turns out," Trainman ominously added. He also promised Felicia Tilman will have a run-in with Zach and a hockey stick, but survives, Lynette will have a run-in with Tom and an air hockey table, but also turns out fine... and Susan has a run-in with Zach and a gun, which will apparently be a cliffhanger for next season. Finally, Trainman promised Bongo the dog would be making an appearance in the finale.
Even though Trainman posted on the TWoP message boards that he had lost his job over providing these spoilers, and the New York Post seemed to confirm the story information, please keep in mind that none of the above story information has been officially confirmed by ABC -- if you want to find out what really happens, tune in tonight at 9:00pm to watch the DH season finale.

Yeah... HE was the source of the Rex spoiler I posted here.
He had posted other spoilers the entire season and was correct, so I had no reason to doubt. Then when he was fired, I knew it was true.
Ratings:
Desperate Housewives: Fast Nationals: TBD; Overnights: #1, 20.4/29; Viewers: #1, 30.03 million; A18-49: #1, 13.3/31
The Adults 18-49 beats CSI and Raymond!!! DH got the same viewers as the AVERAGE for the 2 hours of CSI. If Idol doesn't top that(which it probably won't), DH will be the highest finale of the 2004 Fall Season.

It has knocked out the Sunday night awards shows left and right and had the highest-rated drama series premiere since ER.
Go DH!!

Did you guys remember to watch the "secret scene" on GMA today? They also had Steven Culp ("Rex") on. It was funny how he talked about how his character dies all the time ("Star Trek: Enterprise," "JAG" twice...one presumed dead, then truly dead, and now "DH").
The whole phone call from the doc threw me a bit. But then when she was picking out a tie for Rex's burial, I had to wonder. If he is not really dead, is he going to be able to fake the burial?

Yes... I recorded GMA because of the secret scene and Steven Culp being on. Loved it... I don't understand why the scene was cut though. It was the women figuring out Paul killed Martha.
The thing that baffled me about the Rex thing, Bree(as far as we know) didn't go to the hospital between the time Rex died and when she was picking out ties(she had the same clothing on and her hair looked the same), I found that odd. He could still be faking it.
He sounded pretty sure this morning though that he was dead and not coming back, BUT they don't start filming Season 2 til July, so there is still some hope.

IMDB isn't much help. No one has submitted an addendum to Steven Culp's credit for DH.
Right now, it shows:
Steven Culp .... Rex Van De Kamp
When they list it like that, it means the person has been on since the beginning and is still on the show.
For someone like Sherry Stringfield, for instance, her listing appears like so:
Sherry Stringfield .... Dr. Susan Lewis (1994-1996, 2001-)
because she was on in the beginning, left, and then returned.
For Noah Wyle:
Noah Wyle .... Dr. John Carter (1994-2005)
*sigh* He was the only one without a date by his name, until now. However, Deezer D has played the role of Malik, Yvette Freeman has appeared as Haleh, Lily Mariye as Lily, and Emily Wagner as EMT Doris Pickman -- all since the beginning of the series.

Yes. I think something is in their house.

Been offline again...computer problems....grrr.....anyway, I saw your post Brent. And I'm guessing you don't buy Rex's death either? I don't. I say he's still alive and going undercover to see who was poisoning him. That's my theory and I'm sticking with it.
Gotta type fast in case this computer locks up again.....
I missed the last 1 to 2 minutes of DH. For some reason our DVR misses the last few minutes of some shows (70s is one). So I completely missed the last scene with Bree. I heard she climbed into bed with Rex. So his body was left in his hospital bed and the morgue hadn't come yet to claim him? Details when you all have time.

The last scene with Bree was when she found out about his death... we see her for a few seconds picking up clothing for Rex during the Mary Alice voiceover. The last we see of Rex he's in the hospital bed and writes a note to Bree(thinking she poisoned him) saying he forgives her. His breathing is getting pretty bad at that point and he's coughing. Then it cuts to Bree at home(after the bed scene) cleaning china and the phone call rings that he died. We NEVER see Rex actually die. The machine doesn't flatline, we don't see his body, nothing. I just find it a little strange.
The last 2 minutes(the show ended at 10:02) was the voiceover showing the women in their various predicaments explained in the episode and then Mike walks into his house(where, unbeknowst to him), Zach is holding Susan hostage, and then it ends.

Well, then I didn't miss much! I saw nearly everything you said happened. On the morning news show today someone mentioned how she got into bed with him. Maybe that was the last hospital stay?
I read most responses here and it seems we all doubt his death. I know I did right away, after having watched many a soap opera in my day....daytime and nighttime. Never trust a death unless you see a dead body. And even then you need to see the funeral and burial!

Yes it was... it was about 20 minutes into the episode. He apologized for the adultery and the weird sex stuff, and then she said "It doesn't matter, let's call it even" and then crawled on the bed, said "The best is yet to come" and then they kissed. I really hope he didn't die after that.

You did see the Paul flashback with Deirdre being killed? That was the last 10 minutes of it, then right before the voiceover, Mike leaves Paul in that quarry type thing and takes off(after deciding not to shoot him), and then what I described.

I was wondering about that... I'm REALLY hoping Zach doesn't shoot him(remember, he thinks he took Paul to kill him).
I was fully expecting to hear a gunshot when he closed the door at the end of Sunday's show.
Isn't that Mike's house or am I missing something? Susan walks across the street from HER trash can and enters to find Zach. Zach is there to kill Mike.

What a funny thread! Luke I am your father....oops Zach. Why do I keep thinking of Eric from That 70s Show now, when SW is mentioned? LOL
Marcia Cross sure resurrected her career, didn't she? Same with Teri Hatcher. But with MC, you used to think of her character on Melrose Place. Kimberly was not a character you liked, at all. Pitted against Jane anyway, vying for Michael's attention. But on DH, she shines! Finally a character she can sink her teeth into. I was just beginning to think she'd stop polishing silver and setting the dining room table perfectly. Then Rex kicks the bucket....we're supposed to think. I still think he's alive. I joked on another message board, he can show up in Bree's shower and it can all be just a bad dream. Shades of Bobby Ewing.....
My youngest daughter thinks it will be funny to watch Tom handle the rowdy boys and baby. Suddenly there will be a desperate househusband on the street. What is Tom going to do though....play poker with the ladies? LOL This is starting to sound like that old 80s movie, Mr. Mom with Michael Keaton.

PS - Brent, yes I did see the flashbacks of Mary Alice stabbing Deidre. Never thought she'd be the guilty one!
