INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCES BY BOTH TONIGHT!!!!!!!!
I am so glad I do not have to make the decision between the two on my own. It would be IMPOSSIBLE!!! THEY ARE BOTH FANTASTIC PERFORMERS AND SINGERS!!! I think in the end however, Bo's experience shows and he should take the title. Both ahve brilliant careers ahead of them as do several of the finalists. As Randy said, this was by far the best AI competition!!!! Both deserve to win and in the end will, but the one taking the AI title this year should be BO, imo.

)
Tonight's Recaps
...well to heck with it, they were both awesome!!

(30) Song 3: 29.6

Reason why Carrie's third song gets a perfect score: It actually made me cry.
Now for the prediction:

2. Bo Bice. Final Score: 93.8 Percentage Vote: 49.9%
It's going to be a close one!!!

Still voting.
Every once in a while, I pick up the phone and hit redial. For a long time, I couldn't get through -- good sign...means people are voting like crazy. But when you think about, if everyone is constantly voting and the lines are constantly receiving votes, and the phones can only handle a certain # of total calls in four hours, then basically, they're apt to get approximately the same amount of votes. Let's say all three lines for each contestant can take a total volume of 500,000 votes in four hours' time. Then basically, that's what Carrie and Bo will both receive. It's simply a matter of which fans were able to hang up fast enough to free another line so that line could accept another vote. When you call, you get a message from Carrie or Bo that says "Thanks for voting for me...blah blah blah." No reason to listen to the whole thing...the vote counts the second the call is connected.
So, no matter what, it's going to be close. If only they'd come up with a way for only one call per phone number. I know some website polls allow only one vote per IP address. And yet others allow you to vote like crazy. So, if they could do phone votes or online votes that were fair, it could be a fair tally. But, it's not...so I'm going back to hit redial again.

Southern Rocker vs Country Girl....a nice showdown. Good for Fox and good for AI. Not just more of the same.
Bo's got the edge with his maturity and presence, but Carrie's got the most trainable voice. With all due respect Rainband, give Carrie the same time as Kelly has had to get it all together, and they will be equal but quite different talents.
The possibility of Carrie sliding on over to her country comfort will keep her from being as widely known...but she has the potential to be a crossover too.
Bo and a good band will have a lot of fun in the years ahead...but I can't imagine that he will attract the following that Kelly has had.
Should be fun watching what happens to about 5 of them in the months and years ahead.
Am glad it is over though. Time to get on with summer!

Among the more predictable names in the list are Sir Terry Leahy, chief executive of Tesco; BT boss Ben Verwaayen; and Nigel Newton, who signed JK Rowling for Bloomsbury Publishing. More surprising are Andrew Black and Ed Wray, the co-founders of Betfair.com; and Simon Fuller, the pop impresario whose American Idol TV competition was won this year by Carrie Underwood.

Great performances. I think they both seemed very nervous.
I can't imagine why. lol They both seemed just a tad off.
I can't pick. Being a 60's and 70's person, Bo really brings back some good memories. I'm not a country music fan but Carrie may make me change my mind. I think Carrie will win.

I even said last year I wished there was some way to restrict the number of times a certain phone number can vote. I think that is how Ruben won over Clay, by organizing blocks of voters who were dialing constantly. JMHO.

I think that it will be extremely close like season 2 with Ruben and Clay because of this. It seems to me that there are an equal number of fans for both Bo and Carrie like there were for Ruben and Clay.
At anyrate, both will have contracts, one way or another, JMHO.
