On FoxNews.com's front page, they have a poll:

Bo Bice: 50% (23,226)
Carrie Underwood: 50% (23,308)
Total votes: 46,534

And that's on one that you CAN'T vote twice! :eek:

MSNBC:
Bo - 54%
Carrie - 46%

Okay I have no clue why I am nervous. It is just a tv show, but I have put alot of time into this season. This is the only season I have voted, and I have only voted for Bo the entire time. I just think Bo should win. Just the better performer/singer.

I told my boyfriend our lives can resume once Tuesday and Wednesday nights are free..... :lol:

We are 1 hour from the last AI of 2005..

Today at work.. I compared waiting for "American Idol" as waiting for football season.

The 2 have almost the exact same layoff..

May-January and February-September

We are now less than an hour from finding out who the winner will be.. Though as much as they're hyping up Carrie.. it's starting to tick me off because I have a feeling what it's leading up too

I honestly hadn't paid much attention to American Idol this season until tonight (and tonight only because of my dad's urging), but regardless of who wins.....BOTH Bo and Carrie deserve it.

There is talent on that stage that is simply awesome (i.e.- IMO both Carrie and Bo are MUCH BETTER than last years finalists).

I didn't vote.....but my advice to Carrie if she doesn't win -- GET YOURSELF TO NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE GIRL....with that fantastic voice and pretty smile, if the major record labels don't fight over you, they are crazy...totally. Carrie's voice and beauty reminds me of some very famous names in Music City (i.e.- Barbara Mandrell, Faith Hill).

My advice to Bo if he doesn't win--
he doesn't need my advice. His vocal talent and stage presence is off the scale....my only surprise is that someone hasn't already discovered his immense talent before now. Bo reminds me of a young Travis Tritt (so I'd advise him to head toward Music City as well).

My best wishes to both of them.....but there are no losers on that stage tonight folks....only winners.

Southern..

I happen to think that Carrie would be a better "Nashville Star" than "American Idol".

They both had great voices.. this was definitely the best year they've had.. If you listened.. auditions are already coming up this summer, for AI 2006.

As I have said already.. waiting for Idol to return will be like waiting for football season to come back lol. It's such a long wait between the 2.

What's great about AI is that there is no specific genre of music. There was a wide range of music this year that made it really interesting and kept us coming back week after week.

Cruising the internet.. already hearing cries of F I X lol.. I just wish they would have stopped showing so much of bubbly Carrie.. it wasn't fair to Bo that Carrie got so much more air time, or video time..

Good! The reason it's so popular is because it's only on 4 months out of the year, so each time it starts, everyone's ready to watch it again.

That said... I HATE summer doldrums. Everything is over now... DH, Survivor, The Amazing Race, The Apprentice, and this.

Just waiting for my all-time guilty pleasure, BIG BROTHER in July. 8-)

Bo should have won. Carrie is good when she hits the notes right. Too often she is just a teenie bit off or struggles to get there. just my opinion.

Congrats Carrie fans. Bo fans, you know he will be a big hit as well, so no need to worry!

I'm glad they finally chose Memphis as an audition city this year! Memphis is a music town after all, so hopefully they won't be disappointed (I'm sure some crazy people will show up though, some I probably know unfortunately :lol:

) The local fox station had a campaign to bring them here, and it appears to have been successful.

You will NOT see me at an audition though. I can't sing, and I know that, unlike some of those people you see.

Despite Simon's comment about Carrie outselling any other Idol.. I actually think Bo could sell more copies that Carrie could..

Here's why..

I don't know about where you're from.. but around here.. Most people prefer the style of music Bo did well over Carrie's. Plus the fact that Carrie can't seem to do much more than country doesn't help..

Just my 2 cents.. and yes even though she deserved the win as much as Bo.. I am bitter lol
