To rain or not to rain..a tale of 2 very different forecasts

#1 Postby southerngale » Thu May 26, 2005 12:33 am

First one is KBTV NBC ch. 4 in Beaumont. The second one is KFDM CBS ch. 6 in Beaumont. The ABC station doesn't have a website...wish I'd seen their news. lol

Well, we had ZERO (nada, none, 0%) chance of rain today and we got hammered with strong to severe storms. I was out and about in the mess but heard there was a tornado warning nearby. I haven't looked it up yet but I was in some bad storms. Awesome lightning show with some cloud-to-ground lightning.

Sort of the same here-the Inaccuweather forecast for Sierra Vista has been Sunny and hot for the past three days- we've clouded over every afternoon with thunderstorms some of which brought quite heavy rains and hail. Can't wait to see how badly they bomb during the monsoon.

Yeah, yesterday I was like Omgosh, the sky is dark and it's still daytime! Is the sky falling? What are those flashes up there? How did they get electricity run all the way up there? Who is up there dumping water on us? Is it a bird, a plane...what's going on?

It is okay. I am just being a big baby and a big jealous cause you are getting rain. Maybe one day, it will happen to me.
