Help with Frequency Distribution plots in MATLAB

OK, I have to admit, I'm not entire sure how to do this particular thing in MATLAB

I would like to make a contour-freqency plot of SHIPS shear vs 12-hour intensity change, though I cannot find the function reference to date in MATLAB. If anyone knows, can they please help

Thanks, but as you suspected, what I am looking for isnt in that one either.

I did have some luck using the capapolt function; however, this is not entirely accurate as the data distribution is not normal, as capaplot assumes. Instead, it is more along the lines of a chi-square
