Believe it or not this system kind of looks like Hanna of 2002.

But more to the west.

The Low appears to be close to that area of convection.

A broad low pressure area has formed. I see it is centered near 25.1 north/94.9 west. But it is elongated down to 24.5/96 west. Really interesting system.

1006 mililbars it appears to be. If this baby can pull that broad center more under that convection. In if it tightens up. I think there is a chance???

The Gulf must know it's almost June 1, that's quite a blob! Will be interesting to watch although I don't think anything will come of it. If anything I hope it gives some much needed rain to those who need it still (like me) or Florida.

This looks like a non-tropical low at best. Add the dry air that's
all around and in it, and there's not going to be much.

One thing for sure, we're about to get drenched here in west central florida. And we sure need it.

That is actually the Upper Level Low that has plagued Texas for the last couple of days. It came through N Central Tx and just N of Houston and is right along the coast there in LA.

We got Blobbed this morning at 6:30 am. It was loud from thunder and lightening, it had pea sized hail hitting my bedroom window, and it moved through in a line that probably had tornadic winds in the upper levels. I have not heard of any storm damage to this point. It is a steady fine tropical type rain now with breezy conditions. The worst of it looks as though it has past.
