Lets hope everyone is safe this season should any storm visit the coastal areas and Islands of the Atlantic Basin. I see many long nights ahead of us in the chatroom.

Maybe this year I will actually be able to spend some time in the chat rooms if and when a storm makes landfall. We have cable and DSL now, so possibly, we have a better chance of staying online. We have a bunch less trees this year, so the odds are a bit better.

If one is a real weather buff/weenie then they should be excited in some ways. I am. My wife knows she has lost most of my attention(not all    )till late in the season.

I stayed up until midnight last night waiting for the official start. Will the Houma area go another year without getting hit by a cane? That remains to be seen, folks. Will New Orleans 40 year record since a major hurricane hit stand? Again, folks, hold on the your hats, and put your seat belt on, it may be a wild ride.
