I am trying to visualize standing on a beach on a clear day looking for that first whisp of cirrus to poke over the horizon to my SE. Forget the
Sat images, radar loops, etc. although from that you know the position
of the storm from where you are. Tell me (landlocked in SC) the feeling you have when you see the cirrus canopy first begin to loom over the horizon. That has got to be dramatic and scary ! This for the veterans.
Love this time of year, but thinking of your safety.
