thanks for such a great weather board with opportunities to post items about other issues.

We must not forget that they are the ones that have put many many hours of their precious free time into making this such a wonderful board. We must not also forget that weather is the #1 purpose of this board being here in the first place. We should all take the time to thank them for what they have given us (and not asked for anything in return) instead of getting upset that one forum will be temporarily closed.

Thanks Marshal and Chad for a wonderful board.

Great post!

As Roy Orbison crooned...

"It's over, it's over, it's O-O-O-O-VERRRRR...
It's O-O-O-O-O-VERRRRRR!!!"

Thus it is written, thus it is done. :larrow:

Man, I do not post for a few days and the Political Board disappears. Was it me?

As everyone who has seen my post knows, I am as passionate as anyone when it comes to politics but even I have tired of the bickering. With Hurricane Season back upon us, I will enjoy setting my sights to the Cape Verde Islands and not the District of Columbia.

I am sure that Chad and Marshall in their infinate, and may I say "Right-winged" wisdom will return the political board in the off-season, but for now, they make a smart decision by putting the integrity of the website ahead of our constant crusade to make America RED. Thanks for giving us this site Chad and Marshall.

p.s. Marshall...you still were wrong about Terri Schiavo! Just Kidding!!!

LOL. I never checked out the political board over here. I used to dance around the circles with lindaloo a few times on other forums, but I'm sorry I missed it. Having been raised in New Orleans, I'm one of those people who is generally socially liberal-libertarian but have a few conservative positions (2nd Amendment rights, fiscal sanity and such). I also believe that neither the Democratic Party or the Republican Party is worth a squat and that they both exist to perpetuate themselves rather than any false ideologies they purport to follow.

So if there ever is a board re-activated, someone PM me and let me know. That stuff is a kick even though many people in America are so stupid they view life as right vs. left, us vs. them, white vs. black and other such distinctions that pundits with vested interests purport to be good or evil.
