Watching Tropics

A couple of local mets reported tonight that we may have to start "watching the tropics" by next weekend. They reported that models are consistant with developing something for the GOM. Anyone else hearing this or know more about this?

The LONG range GFS has indicated a low in the gulf next week.

Now, that's too far off to be accurate for sure, model errors are
significant beyond 72 hours, and ridiculous beyond 144 hours.

So the GFS might be onto something for us to watch - we'll see.

I know saying this is out of line but.

The area of convection south of western Cuba has become alot oreganized. In this could be what the models show. We might be seeing soem signs of something. Just me option .02 cents.

Come on Matt, if your saying that the broad area of low pressure in the NW Caribbean the NHC is mentioning in TWO is getting alot Better organized, then I really think your -removed- jjjust abit. :wink:
