If that God blessed high lol sets up in the same spot as last year.. Look out Florida! lol

Remember.. Jeanne should have stayed out at sea.. but the high made her make a loop and come back this way {which btw I still think I deserve props for making that call}

If I remember right, a trough moved north of Elena, which steered
her east, but the trough outran Elena, and the ridge built back in
and pushed Elena back to Mississippi.

No it was not the "Bermuda High." There was an extremely large trough bisecting the State of Florida, and this upper level condition gave both Frances and Jeanne a "free ride" right into Florida. I don't have a picture of the trough, but it was enormous, and gave nice passage for both storms to ride right in--just like the trough that cleared the way for Andrew's landfall in 1992, despite the fact that Andrew had been sheared, due to considerable sheer in an El Nino season.

Ok fine.. so maybe it was still something else.. Regardless.. You guys kept lambasting me about saying Jeanne was coming.. and I ended up making the right call lol..

Oh well.. Bring on this years' round of storms please
