FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

DISORGANIZED CLOUDINESS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM THE

AND DEVELOPMENT IS NOT EXPECTED.

THE COMBINATION OF A TROPICAL WAVE AND AN UPPER-LEVEL LOW IS
PRODUCING CLOUDINESS AND NUMEROUS SHOWERS OVER THE LESSER
ANTILLES...THE ADJACENT EASTERN CARIBBEAN SEA AND ATLANTIC OCEAN.
THIS ACTIVITY SHOULD CONTINUE TO SPREAD WESTWARD DURING THE NEXT
DAY OR SO WITH NO SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT.

TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH MONDAY.

I know - it's a slow night in the tropics.

It was last year this time too. :D

Yep... TD 1 didn't form until July 31st(off the Southeast U.S. coast).

Last June 13th when I went to the Panhandle of Florida(Fort Walton Beach to be exact) there was a disturbance in the Gulf that people thought might develop. It ended up not, but dumped a TON of rain(4 inches or more) on our "vacation". It was still fun though. The Gulf was ANGRY.

But could easilly happen as all should expect the unexpected in the tropics as forecaster are good but not always right

Now, that means a cat 5 hurricane wont form but a TD, TS or even minor hurricane is entirely possible  JK ofcourse
