Very interesting....
If you didn't know, Dr. Jon Nese is retiring from the Weather Channel to teach school at none other than......Penn State!
In fact, if I stay in the meteorology course that I'm currently signed up for (METEO 201 Introductory Weather Analysis).....if it doesn't get waived because of my knowledge.......then he will be my teacher!!!

opportunity
What a great opportunity. If you don't end up taking his class, see if he needs a TA or assistant, or if you could just audit a class or something. I took a class with a well-known Texas met once, and it was awesome! They know so much, and have seen so much-- you can't help but learn from them. Especially things you didn't expect to learn! Good luck!

Although I wish I could become a teaching assistant now, I won't be able to until I'm a graduate student (right now I'm technically a second-semester sophomore)....but thanks!
And yes he will be GREAT for the department! I just don't want to take a class that is coursework that I already know.
