Exactly. Now, if we get permission, can we load up with double ought, and hunt ourselves some tourists???? :D

Geez, I'm from West Virginia but it sounds kinda unsafe for us northerners to even come down for a visit.

CentralFlGirl -- you gotta drink one of those on Derby Day!! That's the ONLY really good day to drink a mint julep.

Another word for tourists here in Galveston -- "traffic jam." Especially on the Seawall. We tend to holler (from within our cars), "Dude! This is an ISLAND! No matter how far down the road you go, there's water out there! Now, either park, get out of your car, and stare at it...or DRIVE!"

I want the bumper sticker that says, "I wasn't born here, but I got her as fast as I could!" :)

I love mint julips. I'm not sure but I think I had quite a few at my Nephew's wedding in Savannah. I think the mint gives you a false sense that you're drinking something that's really healthy for ya. It's almost as refreshing as sweet tea.

Mint juelps are awesome on Derby day, but I disagree that that's the ONLY good day to drink them. ANY day is a good day for a good mint julep. :)
