No... we would know if there's a verdict. Apparently his family is headed down to speak to the media(blah, blah, blah).

EVERYONE is restless today and there's defintely more activity out there.

Well another day, no verdict. The spokeswoman for MJ came out and spoke and then less than an hour later his defense attorney issued a statement reminding her a gag order(yeah, everyone gag) was in effect, sounds like some conflict within his camp...

Did you all ever think we'd have a MJ thread that would go 16 pages here?

Incredible. I hear lots of people talking about this trial though. It will be one of those moments you'll remember where you were maybe, when word comes down. I clearly remember feeling so disappointed when OJ was found innocent. I think I was in the kitchen and someone had the TV on. We all were stunned. Just shocked he could walk away. And then go on to raise his kids!

There may be a hung jury in this.. It's continued deliberations..

1 question..

Do they need to be unanimous or majority for a conviction?

It will take a "unanimous" decision for a conviction...

And Cycloneye, where are you hearing that there may be a hung jury on this?

Ok...:)

I really doubt that this is a hung jury though....

Just a matter of a solid group of jurors, that are doing a heck of a job...

Look for the verdict as I've mentioned no earlier than Friday or early next week.

Yes agree about those jurors doing an extraordinary job in these circunstances with a lot of pressure from all sides not only from the lawyers but from the media and ordinary people who are fans of him or not.

That's what I'm afraid of. I'm holding out on a today or Friday verdict though(end of the week etc.)

I found out though they aren't sequestered like the Peterson jury so they aren't living together on the weekends, so that means it could go a lot longer, in that, they are able to see their families.

The judge conceded this time-off for some of the jurors to attend graduation ceremonies. :larrow:

I hear things are getting heated in the crowds and with the media. News crews are battling it out for sightlines and international camera crews are invading each others' areas (Telemundo in BBC's space).

You have to wonder how things will be with the die-hard, "The truth will set Michael free" fans if he is convicted on any count. Riots?

They've already shown some rocks with pro-Jacko messages written on them (possible "missiles"?): and one kid from Nashville, who took a job at a local Burger King to stay in the area, has been served with a restraining order to keep him away from one of the newspeople.

IMHO, it will get ugly if convictions come down. :larrow:

After following the case throughout on Court Tv, low and behold yesterday afternoon (of course when many thought a verdict would come in) our island along with most of Puerto Rico and the Virgins experienced major storms that blocked our satellite for over 2 hours (Dish Network).

As much as I like a good rain and storm, if I miss watching him get convicted because of it, I think I will throw my dish in the ocean and forget the outside world exists.

apparently the prosecution team is feeling confident they did their job. one news outlet is reporting a celebration dinner of sorts at a local restaurant.

there's also new reports regarding Jackson's peculiar spending habits and resulting collections; the latest is about a fleet of Rolls Royce limos, most of which dont even run. They're in storage at some aircraft hangar, fees havent been paid and they're facing an eviction.

When someone like this has so much, why do they buy weird stuff like that? why dont they donate money to charitable causes that can really help people?

they were showing the prison cells where he could possibly go if convicted and it creeped me out. it definitely wasnt a neverland situation. i doubt the broom closets at neverland are this spartan. i honestly wonder how he could survive emotionally in a place like that. he cant make it from the curb to the front door of the courthouse without an entourage...

She's not the spokesperson anymore... she was reportedly terminated last night.

The jury asked for the accuser's testimony yesterday. That to me says maybe they are leaning towards guilty and have a few holdouts(could be anywhere from 1 and up) since it must be unanimous.
