It is too close for comfort here for me. We are starting to get some rain here and I am sure it will be lasting for days :roll:

Very possible but with Tropical systems you just never no especially since she has yet to even reach the GOM.

Yes, and GOM systems are typically pretty unpredictable. We have a ways to go with this one.

there does seem to be quite a bit of agreement...
all the models seem to be within 200 mile at 3 days
out... that's VERY rare...

You know.. it's really too early to say. I never like to make any kind a call unless it is a stated off the top of my head pick any spot wild guess, at this stage of the game. But have to say the models have been pretty close together considering. Going to be interesting to see if they pan out.

You will be protected by the force field of the ridge. Arlene will be a classic "ridge-rider".

I don't see it going any farther east than the western Panhandle(Pensacola-FWB) and any farther west than Biloxi. Remember: Most all of the effects will be east of where the center tracks anyway.
