So loops for the next few hours will be really hard to watch.

However, that will help in the long run, as its now centered over the storm.

I'm starting to think that a new LLC has formed under that ball of convection. This thing is believe it or not looking more classic.

I agree cycloneye, I wonder why the NHC thought it was appearing weaker?

While it does have that signature of outflow, it pretty much looks like a weak tropical storm to me. I'm waiting for the 18z GFS to load (painfully slow) on NCEP. They've got 00 hours up so far. It's probably going to be another half hour before the thing loads.

Probably because a large majority of the weather is well to the E/NE of
the center.

That said, it's looking better in the last few frames.
