Florida Peninsula will definitely get a LOT of rain---you're quite right, Kevin. The outflow bands are already doing their work, and as it passes, it will soak Florida with 3-5 inches of rain.

It's a good point. The peninsula's gonna be way on the wet side of the storm. There's a fairly good chance of severe stuff and/or brief tornadoes in some of the feeder and outflow bands. Additionally, if you get caught under a train, you already know the flooding potential of that. I'm sure there will be isolated 7"+ spots along the western portion of Florida. Y'all take care down there.

already seeing some moisture that is feeding into Arlene here....

Both Channel 4 news (George Winterling has been forecasting here since early 1960) and Channel 12/25 is forecasting 20mph winds associated with Arlene over the weekend.


should be a nice soggy & breezy weekend.

We've been getting rain this afternoon from the spin-offs of Alrene. Looks to be a rainy week-end here for sure.

duh...I could have told you that. The east side of the storm is far worse...I mentioned how FL was going to feel the brunt in subjects I posted yesterday :lol:
