Words can explain the feelings that I right now in my heart and soul. The memories of the Winter Break Collegiate Challenge trip from Green Bay, WI to Springhill, LA/ Taylor, AR will be with me for the rest of my life. All my friends and I were trying to do was to alleviate the hardships of poverty by helping out a family in need.

Charlie Park, the Executive Director of Webster Parish HfH sent me the picture of Anita's new house. Tears of sadness and joy ran down my face as I reminisced about the sheetrocking adventures during the week. Anita is a wonderful person and my friends and I are glad that we helped her towards the goal of home ownership.

It is always a great story when you see habitat houses being built. Many families have hard times affording monthly payments, or live in shacks (in Anita's case) so, with help from HfH, they can afford a decent, simple, yet enjoyable house for years to come.
