Center Relocating

#1 Postby wxman57 » Fri Jun 10, 2005 8:42 am

I fix the center closer to 24N/85W as of 8:30am CDT. Looks like it's relocating southwest of that blob of convection.

Gotta run!

I've just loked at a very close-up sat loop and still see the center exposed, though without a doubt, the convection is coming much closer to the center. It is becoming much better organized by the minute

What if any are the ramifications of the center relocating?

This is a great loop here...You can choose how many frames and what area you want to zoom

That's the site I always use. The images are updated a lot more frequently too.

Do you see the vortmax rotating out of the convection? It's located at 23.8/85.3.

Wouldn't the upper low to her west begin to pinwheel Arlene back to the NW? Looking at wv loops it looks like that is already starting to happen. Still this this is a MS/AL landfall.

I am not quite sold on the the relocation idea yet.If one sits back looks at the big picture no zoom and watch the rotation it still seems to like the exposed vortice.Everything seem to rotate around that from the N and seems to be organizing some.Hey I might be way off base here.It would take me seeing that vortice going S to Cuba to bite on the idea.

Oh yea looks the last couple of frames 350'maybe 345' movement

Check out the Key west Radar...You can see the Center on it now at 24.3 N and 84.1 W

PTrackerLA, I was just looking at that same thing. Also looking out at the sky at work here in BR there is a definite west to east movement of the clouds. I don't know exactly what that could mean, if anything, just caught my attention. As yesterday I still say Gulfport/Biloxi.

I see what tou see 2007 but we need about another 100mi of radar to get a good fix.My point is what is dominant. It just appears that the exposed vortice still in control.

Is it just me mis-interpreting the VIS, or has she taken a bit of a westerly here lately (last few frames)

I'm not wobble watching, and its probably just a mix of the sun coming into the picture plus convection beginning to wrap around, but thats what I see

is it just lack of sleep?

cheers
