Convective burst?
It seems like there is a burst of convection going on not too far from the centre. Could this be the scenario that the discussion was talking about?

Wow look at this satellite. That convection is forming right over the LLC. The radar shows a half closed eye!!! The landfall I think will be close to Mobile.
