#1 Postby air360 » Sat Jun 11, 2005 11:21 am

Mark has got up the live streaming video going on the Hurricanetrack.com site. It is really good...smooth and clear :) They are in Gulf Shores right now.

It's a bit choppy but considering those two are driving around and beaming it back I give it an A+. Reminds me of last year when me and my buddy made the trip from FLL to west palm up 95 and then federal as frances was moving in and we shot video. Might be the only time you will ever see 95 in sofla completely empty and i mean not a soul except for two tv trucks and us.

i suspect the video is getting choppy becuase of increased traffic on the site. When i first found it and was watching it it was smooth as if i was watching live tv

Its smooth now. Smmoth or a bit choppy it is great stuff and will get even better once the SST's go up past 85 and the systems can get energized.

Love it....but they need sound. :) Someone make a note.

They'd better be careful driving around. Imagine their embarrassment if they run a red light and everyone on S2K sees it.

I must be stoopit! I can't find a link for streaming video. The only thing I see is what looks like a video window to the right, but all it goes to are two static pictures from this morning at 11:30.

I don't see the link anymore either. They've been driving, so may have taken the link down. Right now, they're sitting in the parking lot at, of all places, Lowes. :)

yes the link is down now. They only have the streaming video on during the actual Hurricane coverage. the team is pretty much done with coverage now. Also, this storm was really the "test" for the streaming video as it was the first time it has ever been used. So be sure to be looking for it when coverage of the next storm begins:)
