PUBLIC ADVISORY NUMBER 18 FOR TROPICAL DEPRESSION ARLENE
NWS...HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL PREDICTION CENTER...CAMP SPRINGS MD
4 PM CDT SUN JUN 12 2005

...TROPICAL DEPRESSION ARLENE MOVING NORTH THROUGH OHIO VALLEY...

ALL FLOOD WATCHES ALONG THE PATH OF ARLENE HAVE BEEN DISCOUNTINED.

AT 4PM CDT...21Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION ARLENE WAS
LOCATED NEAR 37.7 NORTH....LONGITUDE 87.7 WEST...OR ABOUT 20
MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF EVANSVILLE INDIANA.

ARLENE HAS SLOWED DOWN TODAY AND IS NOW MOVING NORTH NEAR 16 MPH.
THIS NORTHWARD MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TONIGHT WITH
ADDITIONAL SLOWING OF THE FORWARD MOTION POSSIBLE. ARLENE IS
EXPECTED TO LOSE ITS TROPICAL CHARACTERISTICS BY MONDAY MORNING.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO NEAR 30 MPH.
MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 29.71 INCHES OR 1006 MB.

REPEATING THE 4 PM CDT POSITION...37.7 NORTH...87.7 WEST...
MOVEMENT NORTH AT 16 MPH...MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...
25 MPH...MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...29.71 INCHES OR 1006 MB.

Thats a good thing that the rains have subsided. We dont want a three peat of last September.

If there aren't any flood advisories out, then I figure the next advisory will be the last advisory unless there are some issued or Arlene's remnants somehow strengthen over the next few hours.

EDIT: HPC's also calling for Arlene to be absorbed by a front within the next 18-24 hours.

Severe storms and tornadoes forming near the center of the system. Numerous Tornado Warnings issued in Indiana right now.
