I've heard several diff opinions on the motion of this system once or if it devolops. Can someone give me an opinion on where he might go? (If its a he or just an it) I've heard due west I've heard north than nw, I've heard west than a loop over south florida. Just wondering about it. Thanks.

I'm gettin my first pair of gasses tomorrow  (really).
I'm nearsighted but might help w/Brett.

ATTM, I can't even suggest the GFS is on this.

big trof coming down late week could open an opportunity but can't make the case this is a pending TC.

This wave doesn't look very organzied to me. Just some clusters of t-storms concentrated in one area with maybe a mid-level circulation. If you check the buoys around there the pressures have been rising and the winds or mainly out of the E or NE. Although those obs are two hours old. The storms maybe caused by wave interacting with the trough digging down there.

IF development occurs, and the Big trough drops down, Wouldnt it draw the system nortward towards Fla?

Kinda like this?

Don't think the trof digs much below Virginia this weekend and am skeptical there is much of a wave by then, so, my opinion is there's no significant connection and development would seem unlikely.

Well, it looks like it might be spinning a bit to me too, but I don't really know; it might just be the way in which the cloud tops are disippating and reforming.

Question: Is it possible to look at infra-red satellite imagery such as this, and differentiate between upper/mid/low level patterns?

I ask, because to me, it's a 2-d top-down image, but I keep hearing folks refer to mid-level this and upper-level that. (not necessarily in this specific thread) Can that sort of info be gleaned by such an infra-red image, or are these folks using additional data that I am not seeing? I'd like to be able to read these images to some degree myself.

I was a skeptic at first but this looks like it has potential. Possibly an invest before the day ends?

Looks suspicious to me, if this convection continues they will put up an invest. Sure would like to see a recent QS down there.
