From the Duluth MN NWS:
FROM WED NGT ON THINGS CHG DRAMATICALLY AND WE'LL BE ABLE TO
ACTUALLY LIVE IN OUR BACK YARDS INSTEAD OF HARVESTING RICE DUE TO ALL THE RECENT RAIN. THE UPR RDG BEGINS TO BUILD INTO A BLOCKING PTN AND WE COME UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A DRIER CANADIAN HIGH WHICH BECOMES PARKED OVER ONTARIO. THIS SHOULD LAST THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK.
Thank goodness, I don't know re: rice, but we sure have a bumper crop of mosquitos right now!!
Another example of amusing NWS discussion wording

I recommended to someone I know in Duluth that he wait until the Fall and do a prescribed burn on the grass in in his backyard when it dries out since he can't get his riding mower there because the ground is saturated and by the time the ground does dry out the grass will be so high that he will need a combine to cut it.
