She may have what is called Graves Disease...a thyroid problem which makes her eyes appear that way. Barbara Bush (GW's mother) has that condition.

It's a darn shame she had cold feet.

But why fake kidnapping to do that? I'm sorry, but that's just messed up!

I'm not sure the specific felony she would be charged with but considering that people get away with murder by pleading temporary insanity she should be given the benefit of the doubt that the stress drove her over the edge and made her run. The story about the kidnapping was, I'm sure, brought about by he embarrasmert about what she did. Let the humiliation she's going to suffer the rest of her life in always being known as "The Runaway Bride" be her punishment and just let everyone move on.

there should be a way to make her pay the city the entire amount they spent during their search for her: about $43K. heck, make her pay interest too. i wont watch any movie about this nor will i read the book. she needs a good shrink.

Hmm... isn't there something about profiting from a crime?

I asked my husband if I could "run-away" and get the police involved in order to get a book/movie deal.

Notta, Not happening.

It is amazing how she could profit off of this. I would think that the D.A. would file a civil suit and attach any profit.

I am sure there are children's programs that could use the money.

LOL!

Stories like this do encourage ~some~ twisted people out there to concoct their own crazy scheme, get in the news. For her to take this to the book/movie deal isn't surprising. But if she were my daughter.....I'd say spend your time volunteering somewhere. Forget any monetary gain out of this! Is she doing it to pay people back the money she owes them? And money she was ordered to pay, she didn't come forward from day one of her appearance to say she would pay anyone money they spent to look for her.

I think this girl needs way more than a book or movie deal. She needs a Psychiatrist deal! 24/7, for a year!

i dont think the DA can file a civil suit, but the folks who donated their time to help search for her and the taxpayers in Duluth sure as heck can.
