Free Image Hosting

#1 Postby chadtm80 » Sat May 03, 2003 12:22 pm

Well it seems that all the free image hosting sites are no longer allowing hot linking, witch means no posting your pics on the site from there. Including the one I use to use, Imagestation.com.... Well I searched around for you and went through quite a few, and this one is the best I found so far... Free, Uploads fast, allows/encourages hot linking... Just an option for those that want to post pics on the board.. :D

http://www.imagemagician.com/

All you have to do is go there, and set up an account... Once the account is set up the instantly mail you your password (you can change it).. Then all you have to do is log in and then click the upload link... You can upload up to ten pics at a time... For those using dial up though i would not recommend doing that many at one time... Click the Browse button and browse to the location on your puter where the picture is and double click it.... Then if you want to do another just hit the next browse button... Once you are ready to upload them click the "Uploaded selected images" button..
Once the upload is complete your pics will show as small thumb nails on the page...

These pics are now ready for posting here on the board. Simply click on the one that you want to post and the picture will enlarge, and the link will appear below it... Copy that link and then come back here and post it in the post where you wish the picture to appear. Then highlight the link and hit the Img button above.. Thats it... Let me know if you need anymore help :D

I tested it out and it worked

You have to wait 5 mins before you can post it on a board... they state that when you sign up... Maybe that was the prob you had with it.. Maybe you jumped the gun

Are you sure? I know it does work for the first few minutes it's up, but after a day or so it stops working.

Close pro... You have to highlight the link and hit the img button up top... So your picture url would look like this

Code: Select all
