Some sad news... his Father, J.D. Buffett a/k/a Capt. Buffett (Caps) died Thursday after a long 'bout with Alzheimer's.

I had the opportunity to grow up around those people. Best man you would ever want to meet. He was always jolly and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. I actually am still good friends with Lucy and Lorraine Buffett. They are a tight knit family. Caps will be sadly missed!

How sad. Jimmy Buffett's sister owns a grill in my neck of the woods named "Lulu's Sunset Grill"

Prayers go out to that family for their loss.

Sorry to hear about the death of Jimmy Buffet's father. I haven't heard anything about it, I am sure I will soon.

Sorry to hear about Jimmy's Dad, I am a parrothead
and have liked his music since the late 1970s. He is
very popular here in Cincinnati, OH. In his song " Fins "
the first line is " She came down from Cincinnati ".

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jimmy and his family.

I've been born and raised a parrothead...and he loves playing at Alpine Valley. My condolences to Jimmy and his family. :( Unfortunately, I have to miss his June 28th concert (for the second year in a row, a family wedding is the same night as his concert at Alpine!)

FYI...Alpine sells out in 10 minutes! (This happens every year)

His concerts here in Tampa always sell out quickly as well. :-( Never can get tickets.
