Interesting Feature BOC/GFS Development???

#1 Postby TampaFl » Sat Jun 18, 2005 12:03 pm

Interesting feature with possible "circulation" in the extreme S.E Bay Of Campeche  . Is this what the GFS is hinting at  ? Thoughts and comments welcomed.

Maybe, but the BOC has been "disturbed" since mid-week. If persistence is the key, then that area needs to be watched.

I think what you are seeing is a collapsing MCS with the tops of the storms being sheared to the ESE. Notice the outflow boundary moving away over the BOC in all directions.
As Stormcloud said though, this area has been "disturbed" all week and persistence is the key.
