Tropical Weather Outlook
Statement as of 5:30 PM EDT on June 19, 2005
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...
A large area of cloudiness and thunderstorms extends from the Bay of
Campeche...east-northeastward across the Yucatan Peninsula...the
northwestern Caribbean Sea and portions of Cuba. This activity is
associated with a weak surface low pressure trough. Upper-level
winds are not favorable for tropical cyclone formation.
Elsewhere...tropical storm formation is not expected through Monday.
