A TROPICAL WAVE IS PRODUCING CLOUDINESS...SCATTERED SHOWERS...AND
THUNDERSTORMS OVER MUCH OF THE NORTHEASTERN CARIBBEAN SEA AND
ADJACENT LAND AREAS. ALTHOUGH CONDITIONS REMAIN UNFAVORABLE FOR
TROPICAL CYCLONE DEVELOPMENT TO OCCUR...LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND
GUSTY WINDS MAY ACCOMPANY SOME OF THE STRONGER SHOWERS ACROSS
SOUTHERN HISPANIOLA AS THE SYSTEM MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT 15 TO
20 MPH.

A DEEP UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH IS PRODUCING CLOUDINESS...SHOWERS...AND
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS FROM THE BAY OF CAMPECHE AND THE YUCATAN
PENINSULA NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS THE EASTERN GULF OF MEXICO AND THE
FLORIDA PENINSULA...AND INTO THE EXTREME WESTERN ATLANTIC
FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED MILES. TROPICAL CYCLONE DEVELOPMENT IS NOT
EXPECTED...BUT PERIODS OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL MAY OCCUR ACROSS
PORTIONS OF THE FLORIDA PENINSULA FOR THE NEXT DAY OR TWO.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
THURSDAY.

To tell you the truth the NHC has been much better this year about telling what is out there, and what they are thinking. I remember in years past all you would get is, Tropical Storm Formation is not expected through.... In my opinion they have given us much more to talk about. There has not been many outlooks with that one sentence this season. Good job NHC.

I agree - they are doing a much better job communicating what is
going on out there. Of course, the internet has made it easy for
them to do that.

I agree dhweather. I know a lot of people are going to say well there is more blobs this year. Not really. They have mentioned a lot of areas that had no potential for development, and in years past I believe would not have been mentioned. They are telling us what they think instead of us having to guess. Again, Good job NHC, I LOVE it.

I hate to see that more rain is expected across Florida. They are already saturated.

As years go by I am more and more impressed with the NHC. Of course I only have from roughly 1994 onwards to go on, and I've been steadily paying more attention.

I'm impressed with the improvement in all their products.
