It looks like all this heat and humidity will lead to some storms later today. Right now we are in the lower 90s under mostly sunny skies. However, as a cold frontmoves southward very slowly, storms will likely develop over my environs. Some could be severe with hail, wind and perhaps a isoalted tornadoes.

Saturday appears to warm again, as the front will move back northward. With that movement and the instability more storms may develop. Next week appears to be 85-90 with mostly to partly sunny skies.

It was a warm ... muggy day today. Around noon... we had some scattered storms develop. The sun came out toward mid -afternoon...which is now fueling more storms this evening. Some have been severe. Looks like Tuesday will be tranquil most of the ...but we cannot rule out some storms in the overnight hours. Highs around 90.

Wednesdaywill be our last threat of storms until late next weekend. Thankfully...it will be cooling a bit...into the mid 80s.

A cool down for the end of the week is coming, but we have to get through today (Wednesday). Temperatures should reach the lower 90s today before some thunderstorms (currently developing just west of here) drop in for a visit. Not only will the rain obviously cool us down, the accompanying cold front will also result in highs, get this, in the LOWER 80s for Thursday and Friday. Mid 80s with some afternoon/evening storms are on tap for Saturday and Sunday.

Hot with a chance of hotter. No chance of rain. Mostly sunny skies. Gross amounts of humidity.

The pool is open though. 8-)

6:15 and 106. Sunny EVERYWHERE except for the smoke to the north from the Cave Creek Complex fire...now at over 200,000 acres.

Pool water temperature is 86...and I plan to test it every day this holiday weekend with my piggies (followed by the rest of me!)

But only after sunset or before sunrise.

Summer sunshine here is not your skin's friend.

10:30 and 85º with a high of 102.6º here at the house today!! Official high was 101º. In plain English-it is too darn hot!!! And yes I know it doesn't compare to Poppysky's temps, until you factor in the dp and humidity and then we see 110º heat indexes.

It has been a BEAUTIFUL day around my area. Temperatures were in the lower to middle 80s, but humidity was low, making it quite comfortable for July1. :)

We have had some thunderstorms this evening over western and central Nebraska, and my area my be visited by a couple of these late tonight or early Saturday morning.

Looking ahead into the holiday weekend, Saturday shows mainly dry weather with temperatures in the middle to upper 80s during the afternoon, before slight thunderstorm chances return Saturday night. The storm chances will continue through early Monday; then, it will dry out into mid-week. Highs should be around 90 through the period. Severe storms are possible on Sunday night.

Currently 102.6º here at the house. Weatherbug closest to us is registering 104º. with 44% rh, 80º dewpoint and that gives us a heat index of 125º which is making our AC run constantly!!
