Brett is well inland but still looks quite impressive. Maybe a hint a how organized this thing was about to get. If it stayed over water for a day or two, it could've reached hurricane status quickly.

Bret becomes the first tropical system to hit Mexico from the Atlantic side since TS Larry, 2003, and the first to hit northern Mexico since Erika, 2003.

:lol: Exactly the words I thought. There sure was questioning about the 1999 Bret... Yikes. Well - we shall certainly see Bret again in 2011.

Bret continues to impress me, it continues to refire thunderstorms over its center even though it has been over land for more than 12 hours.
