Thank you!!

Had I known this whole thing would have caused this kind of ruckus ... sheesh!

All I want to know is what folks are thinking about the system in the Caribbean and I found it interesting that JB went out on a limb to the extent that he did.

I kinda regret my original post now.

Yeah...see what you went and did? Just goes to show you...people from Austin should not be in the driver's seat.

Ducking

Now that's funny!

AFM, I do governmental relations work here in Austin and you'll get no argument from me on that front.

Have you heard the saying about "laws and sausage" being the two things you don't want to see being made? It's true!!

Seriously...the reason Austin drivers are so bad is because it's hard to drive those roads...they are very poorly designed.

... don't get me started. We planned poorly in Austin and now we're paying the price. The line here used to always be "well, we're not as bad as Houston or Dallas." Now ... we're just as bad if not worse.

Well...when you have 50 feet to get up to entrance speed on a freeway...that is some poor planning. The biggest problem with Houston is found on the Katy freeway and I-10 to conroe. Other than that...it's not too bad...most of the time.

I had to go to Austin's IBM complex in February of 2002, and there was
a freak Ice Storm ongoing. The driving on ice was bad enough, but
the way people were trying to drive was way past dangerous.

Oh just great ... it's not enough that y'all turned my thread into a JB Bashfest but now it's become a Austin Bashfest!!

eh, I won't fuss. Our roads and drivers are nothing to be proud of here.

Don't worry, I can change the subject again...lol

The day an In-AccuWeather person comes to me for a contract when I graduate, I will gladly rip it up/burn it while they stand in front of me and explain my opinion of AccuWeather, where I think it should go, and that I wouldn't be caught dead in the AccuWeather building.

95% of the other students within the department feel the same way.

The other 5% are just desperate.
