I have no clue whats going on.

Sometimes though, the recon just doesn't exactly regularly report. I have seen some mighty strange AF recon reporting time pettaerns. At least the NOAA onces are in a very regular format, getting an ob every 30 seconds

Every 30 seconds?? These are the planes that sample the atmosphere at higher altitudes?

Recon is flyng new aircraft this year and I'm sure with all new equipment,software,etc.Probably do not have all the ‘‘kinks’’ out yet.

thats a SSW wind. 19012 means wind at 190 degrees at 12KT

looks very close to a TD, but probably a 20-25KT version

Derek, that's the flight level wind, the surface wind is the 4 group at the end.

Yeah...it's kinda hard to tell what the sfc winds are from 1500 feet :-)...

You are correct...it's a SSW wind.
