Question for all

#1 Postby wxcrazytwo » Sun Jul 03, 2005 7:19 pm

According to Derek, if the SAL takes a hike, then every wave that comes off the CV will develope. Now, Cycloneye, stated that any development this early off the CV due to ITCZ placement will most likely be fishies, is this true, and if so, then do we really have anything get excited over, since most, if not all will be going out to see?

My reply would be that it is a wait and see sort of situation. Generally there are certain "rules" you can govern these tropical systems by, but mother nature doesn't always play by the rules so I suggest that you wait and see along with the rest of us.

It's too early to say. Each season is different, and this one is shaping up
like no other ever has. We've got extraordinarily warm basin waters,
so we just get to watch and wait.

The SAL is like a ridge or any other factor - dynamic. It may affect one
wave, and then dissapear for a while and let a few go untouched.
