Analog Years?

#1 Postby Downdraft » Mon Jul 04, 2005 11:06 am

Just wondering if there are any analog years for so much activity so early in the season? Maybe Perry has some history about years that begin a month ahead of themselves.

Some analog years that have been considered thus far aree 1933, 1945 & 1995.

Bastardi mentioned 1933 with something like 5 storms in the Gulf in (by?) July. I'm not sure if that's accurate or not so don't shoot the messenger. He seems to think that 1995 had one parallel (A storm) 1954 had a parallel (B storm) and now we might be getting into some aspects of 1933. What a trip if we would have 2 gulf storms in one week in July. I'm already off tomorrow and would like to get a free storm day in as well.
